Kingdom Collaboration
SCRIPTURE: Colossians 1:1–8
1: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2: To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ, which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3: We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4: Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5: For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;..
8: Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: KINGDOM WORK REQUIRES PARTNERSHIP
The work of God’s kingdom is never designed for one person alone. From the beginning of the church, God raised men and women who laboured together for the advancement of the Gospel. In Colossians 1:1–8, Paul the Apostle acknowledged fellow labourers such as Timothy and Epaphras, showing that kingdom progress thrives through collaboration.
Kingdom collaboration is believers working together in unity, love, prayer, and service for the glory of Christ. Paul introduced himself together with Timothy: “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother’’ (v. 1). Though Paul was a great apostle, he did not minister alone. He valued partnership and teamwork.
God’s kingdom advances when pastors support one another, leaders work in unity, members serve together, and gifts complement one another. Love is the foundation of healthy kingdom relationships (v. 4). Without love and cooperation, ministry becomes self-centered and competitive.
The Gospel spreads more effectively when believers work together. Through collaboration, evangelism expands, churches grow stronger, and communities are impacted.
Kingdom collaboration is God’s strategy for effective ministry and lasting impact. When believers unite in faith, love, humility, and purpose, Christ is glorified. A united body of believers becomes a living sermon to the world, providing the reality and transforming power of the gospel.
ASSIGNMENT
Ask yourself: Am I helping to strengthen unity in God’s kingdom?
PRAYER
Lord, teach me to work in unity with other believers, and remove selfish ambition from me.
