Purpose of LPC PYPAN
The purpose of LPC PYPAN is to build a Christ-centered youth community that nurtures spiritual growth, develops leadership, fosters unity, and equips young people to live purposefully while serving God, the church, and society.
Its Benefits
LPC PYPAN benefits its members by promoting spiritual growth, leadership, mentorship, and community; strengthens the church through active youth engagement and future leadership development; and contributes to society by raising responsible, value-driven young people who positively influence their communities.

LPC PYPAN exists to
- Strengthen the spiritual lives of young people through fellowship, Bible study, worship, and evangelism
- Create a sense of belonging where youths feel seen, valued, and connected
- Develop future leaders within the church and society
- Encourage mentorship, personal growth, and life development
- Promote unity, love, and meaningful relationships among youths
- Provide opportunities for learning, skill development, and holistic growth
- Inspire young people to become active contributors rather than passive attendees
- Preserve Presbyterian values while remaining relevant to the realities of modern youth culture

Impact of LPC PYPAN
Over the years, LPC PYPAN has made a meaningful impact within the church and among young people by serving as a platform for spiritual growth, leadership development, and community building.
Its impact can be seen in the following ways:
- Spiritual Development: Helping youths grow in faith through Bible study, worship, fellowship, evangelism, and discipleship.
- Leadership Formation: Raising young people who go on to serve as church leaders, elders, ministers, coordinators, and responsible contributors in society.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Providing direction through older mentors, church leadership, and peer accountability.
- Community & Belonging: Creating a safe and welcoming environment where youths build friendships, support one another, and feel connected to church life.
- Youth Engagement: Moving members from passive attendance to active participation through programs, discussions, outreach, and youth-led initiatives.
- Skill & Personal Growth: Expanding beyond spiritual activities into areas such as career conversations, empowerment sessions, wellness initiatives, and practical learning opportunities.
- Church Growth: Strengthening the overall church by nurturing a vibrant youth population that contributes to worship, service, outreach, and continuity of Presbyterian values.
- Positive Culture Building: Encouraging love, inclusiveness, teamwork, and a Christ-centered lifestyle among young people.
Membership
Today, LPC PYPAN’s impact goes beyond meetings and programs, it is shaping a generation of youths who are spiritually grounded, socially connected, purpose-driven, and prepared to influence both church and society.
How to Join
Membership in Lagos Presbyterian Church PYPAN is open to every Presbyterian youth who has been baptized and confirmed, typically between the ages of 17–35 years, although participation may begin from age 16 depending on circumstances. Upon joining, members are assigned to one of the PYPAN houses:
- Ruth House
- Timothy House
- Ime Andrew House
- Ephod House

Unless otherwise announced, PYPAN meets regularly in the church as scheduled below:
Parish business meeting
Once every quarter.
Bible Study sessions
Tuesdays on scheduled dates communicated to members.
