ABOUT
Lagos Presbyterian Church Women's Guild (LPCWG)
The Women’s Guild is a fellowship of all women of the church who are twenty-one (21) years old and above. The guilds aim at dedicating their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the service of His kingdom. They promised to seek God’s guidance everyday through prayers and bible reading; attend church regularly and help in the maintenance of women’s work in the church through prayers, service and Christian giving.
Amongst others, the objectives of the Women’s Guild include to build a strong relationship amongst members; to build a woman who will be a great support in the home; to build spiritual structures to enhance the quality of the spiritual life of an average woman; to build an organization that runs on set biblical standards and to build a corporate image which distinguishes the Yaba Parish Woman from others.

For ease of administration, the Yaba Parish Women’s Guild is divided into twelve houses with all the houses having their respective house leaders. The houses are:

- Mary Slessor House
The Yaba Parish Women’s Guild empowers their needy members through the Welfare Trust Foundation – a Non Governmental Organization, it formed and registered. Although fully owned by the Women’s Guild, it is a distinct body from the former and membership is through registration.
we are a vibrant community of faith-filled women committed to serving God and humanity.

Membership in the Women’s Guild (WG) offers numerous benefits that enrich both personal and communal life. Over the years, the Guild has empowered its members through various skills acquisition programs, equipping them with practical knowledge for self-development and economic growth.
It fosters closer relationships among members, creating a strong sense of unity, support, and sisterhood. Additionally, the Guild promotes spiritual growth by encouraging active participation in faith-based activities and moral development.
Through its teachings and initiatives, it also contributes to maintaining peace and harmony within families and the church community at large.

The guild was created to bring women together for prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship, helping members grow in faith and deepen their spiritual lives. - Support for church development
It serves as a structured body through which women contribute to both the spiritual and material growth of the church—especially through fundraising and support for church projects.
- Welfare
The guild is committed to caring for members and the wider community by visiting the sick, assisting needy families, and supporting new members. - Evangelism and outreach
It promotes evangelistic activities and visitation to outreach, extending the church’s mission beyond the congregation into the wider society.
- Unity and collaboration
By participating in presbytery-level programs and conferences, the guild fosters unity among women within the wider Presbyterian Church. Leadership development and mentorship
The guild trains and mentors women, equipping them for leadership roles in the church and supporting younger members in their personal and spiritual development.
Membership
How To Join
The women’s Guild is a fellowship of all women of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria from age 21 upwards. Admission into the women’s Guild must be at business meeting.
To qualify for membership, intending members attend business meeting for a minimum of three consecutive times.

Yaba Presbyterian Women’s Guild Welfare Foundation is a charitable arm associated with the Women’s Guild of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.
Welfare Foundation that takes care of women, children and the needy. The foundation operates under the umbrella of the Women’s Guild, which focuses on fellowship, spiritual growth, and community service, often empowering women and supporting the less privileged.
